WHAT MARK SAYS ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
"Effective and simple to use, IceHorse makes it easy to follow a prescribed cold therapy regime"
Often times we prescribe a cold therapy regime not just during the acute phase but throughout the rehabilitation process. This can mean treating three times a day or more. We find IceHorse products help our clients comply with our protocols and their special ice packs stay cold long enough to complete 30-40 minute therapeutic treatment.
- Dr. Mark Revenugh, DVM
A renowned expert in the diagnosis and treatment of lameness and performance issues, Revenaugh is the owner of NWEP and attracts clients from all over the northwest. His fascination with equine medicine and competitive performance began long before opening his specialty clinic in the Oregon.
Though he studied riding under eventing icon Bruce Davidson, and spent several years in human medical research, his passion was always focused on helping owners and horses maximize their performance potential.Mark pursued that passion at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1991 and then worked with some of the leading sport horse veterinarians in the world, including Dr. Kent Allen, Dr. Haynes Stevens, and Dr. Brendon Furlong.
During this time, Revenaugh authored the first license for use of scintigraphy (bone scan) in the state of New Jersey in 1996. In 1997, he took his first trip as official USET Team Veterinarian, traveling to Germany for a pairs Driving World Championship. Revenaugh has been honored to serve as a Team Veterinarian or Assistant Team Veterinarian since that time. Duties have included selecting, treating and advising elite level professionals in the equine industry, maintaining health and maximizing performance.
Revenaugh moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2002, intending to create a small, unique practice working exclusively with equine performance issues and lameness. However, the clinic quickly grew into one of the premier equine sports medicine practices in the western United States, reflecting his investment in advanced technologies, imaging modalities, and leading edge therapies. In addition to his practice, Dr. Revenaugh has served as Director of the High Performance Sports Group since 2013, helping to further both the sport and profession.
Dr. Revenaugh lives on a farm in Mulino with his wife and two children. They enjoy outdoor activities including bicycling, camping, and exploring this beautiful region. His greatest professional joy remains being part of a winning team; helping horses and owners make good decisions to advance equine health and maximize performance.
